Dr. Faramarz Allahdini
Physician-
Dr. Faramarz Allahdini was born in Tehran, Iran in 1971. He entered Tehran University of Medical Sciences when he was 18 and graduated as a General Practitioner in 1997. He provided medical services to the people mainly in the rural areas for about four years before entering the Neurosurgery Residency Program in 2001. After graduating from the 5 year residency program in 2006 he continued both as a specialist and as a family physician in an underprivileged province far from the capital city of Tehran, he did this for about 9 years.
He and his family immigrated to Canada in 2015. In June, 2017 he managed to pass the Certifying Examinations of the Medical Council of Canada. He participated in many observer ship and educational programs in the University of Toronto until he decided to enter the SIPPA (Saskatchewan International Physician Practice Assessment) program in 2019. A requirement of the program is to have a recent practice experience in one’s home country. After a full year of experience in Iran, he passed the qualifying exam for SIPPA and entered into the program in February, 2022. He completed the program in June.
Dr. Allahdini started his family practice in Arcola in August, 2022. He has been fascinated by the historic buildings of Arcola and the picture-postcard scenery of nearby resorts. Above all, he has felt himself embraced by the pristine humility and respect of the local residents and unprecedented collaborative support from colleagues in the clinic and the hospital. He hopes he can play his role effectively as a new member in this thriving community in general, and in the public health sector in particular.
Dr. Osakponmwen Amayo
Physician-
Dr. Amayo accomplished his medical education at University of Benin Medical School Nigeria in 1995.
He completed his internship at Central Hospital, Benin City, Nigeria. From 1995 to 2005 he was at the University of Benin Teaching Hospital – Residency Program. Dr. Amayo worked as a General Outpatient Department Doctor at Havana Specialist Hospital, Lagos, Nigeria for 8 years before coming to Canada.
Dr. Amayo and his family, wife Anthonia and three children Osarumwese, Osadebamwen and Osayimwen arrived in Ontario in 2012. He entered the SIPPA program in 2016 and after a successful completion came to Arcola.
Dr. Amayo’s philosophy of practicing medicine is a medical practice is a privilege that comes with a sense of responsibility to my patients. The opportunity given me to treat and enjoy the trust and confidence of my patients and employers is a powerful motivating force to always strive to improve with the main aim of delivering better service to my patients. Humility and mutual respect has been essential components of his practice and his overall goal has been that my patient feels a lot better after an encounter with me irrespective of the nature of care given to them.
Dr. Azadeh Khalili
Physician-
Dr. Azadeh Khalili is an experienced family physician, with background in obstetrics, gynecology, and women’s health. With a medical degree from Hamedan University in Iran, she has built a distinguished career dedicated to providing comprehensive care for women.
After completing her residency in obstetrics and gynecology, Dr. Khalili immigrated to Canada, where she obtained her Canadian medical license as a family physician. Her extensive clinical experience allows her to manage a wide array of obstetric and gynecologic conditions effectively. Dr. Khalili is committed to patient-centered care, ensuring that each patient receives compassionate, evidence-based treatment throughout all stages of life.
In recognition of her research contributions, she was awarded the Young Scientist Award in New Zealand in 2015, highlighting her dedication to advancing medical knowledge in her field.
Beyond her professional accomplishments, Dr. Khalili is passionate about lifelong learning and personal development. She enjoys reading in areas such as health sciences and psychology, which enriches her approach to patient care. An advocate for a healthy lifestyle, she actively participates in outdoor activities and fitness.
Dr. Khalili is married to Dr. Mahdi Salimi Sotoudeh, a neurosurgeon, and together they have created a nurturing family life with their two sons, Bardya and Barsam.
With a strong commitment to both her patients and her family, Dr. Khalili embodies the integration of professional excellence and personal fulfillment, making her a pivotal figure in the medical community.
Alyssa Hislop
Nurse Practitioner (NP)-
Alyssa Hislop completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at the University of Saskatchewan and spent over 10 years working as a Registered Nurse at the Arcola Health Centre. Her dedication to advancing rural health care led her to return to the University of Saskatchewan to complete her Master of Nursing – Nurse Practitioner degree in the fall of 2025.
As a local community member, Alyssa is raising her two young boys alongside her husband while continuing her commitment to improving access to high-quality primary health care in rural Saskatchewan. She is passionate about ensuring that all individuals have access to consistent, compassionate, and comprehensive care close to home.
Alyssa enjoys caring for patients across the lifespan, with particular interests in health promotion, disease prevention, and health screening. She strives to empower individuals and families through education, collaboration, and a proactive approach to wellness.
As a Nurse Practitioner (NP), Alyssa provides comprehensive primary care that includes diagnosing and managing both acute and chronic conditions, prescribing medications, and performing routine check-ups. Nurse Practitioners take a holistic approach to health, addressing immediate concerns while also focusing on preventive care and health education—empowering patients to take an active role in their well-being.
